Little Italy Wants the Sauce

I live in the Little Italy area of Toronto.  Since I moved here, close to a year ago, I’m oft annoyed at how far away either a liquor store or a beer store is from my home.  So, when the Rogers Video in front of the Dominion on College Street closed down recently, I had a revelation: here’s a grand opportunity to open up a brand new LCBO (or maybe a Beer Store), right in the heart of this vibrant neighbourhood.

I started a facebook group to see if any headway could be made to making this pipe dream a reality. My friend Caroline actually found the contact information for LCBO Customer Service (see below) and after sending in an email, actually received a response. I followed suit, and received a similar response saying that there were no current plans to install a new location, but they would keep my comment on file. If you have a spare 2 minutes, pop off an email and let’s let them know that we want booze near our homes!
